After taking a few weeks away from this genre, Progressive Metalcore band, Hope For The Dying, caught my attention with their stunning instrumentation. Aletheia which was released yesterday March 19, 2013, is absolutely breathtaking. Their intro song, “Acceptance” is an epic 9 mins and 43 seconds long. Listen to it and hear for yourself:
Hope For The Dying, has become on of my top Metal bands overnight. Their songs are full of powerful lyrics and talented musicianship. The title of their album, Aletheia (ἀλήθεια) is a Greek word variously translated as “unclosedness”, “unconcealedness”, “disclosure” or “truth”. The literal meaning of the word ἀ–λήθεια is “the state of not being hidden; the state of being evident” and it also implies sincerity, as well as factuality or reality. HFTD is through and through a band devoted to the God they love, you see it not only in their lyrics but in their interactions with their fans. Making this album a #MustOwn in our books.
Want to hear the whole album? After the first song, “Acceptance” plays it will automatically proceed to song two “Reformation” and so on through the rest of the album, thanks to Facedown Records.
