As promised, we are keeping you posted on the whereabouts of Hawk Nelson. We may be a little behind on the release of their new song, “Words,” but we wanted to share it during this time. December 14th 2012 was a tragic day, where the lives of innocent children and adults were lost. It filled us with heartache and fear. In this song, it speaks about the hope in knowing that our God is greater than the events that are around us. We need to use our words to point the world back to Him. We need to speak life in this situation.
This is the best Hawk Nelson has sounded to date! They are back to the origin of what gave them their name in Christian music. HN Fan mentioned on YouTube, “…THIS song has power and conviction. I feel like you’re coming back to what made you, you. What made a lot of fans fall in love with you – your heart.”
The Christian community wants to hear the truth in its music, not something sugar-coated. This song speaks to us in this time. This act of evil has brought tragedy to so many lives. Only our God can heal the broken hearted. He can remove the fear. God’s voice is the only thing we need to hear. We want this song, from Hawk Nelson, to help comfort and restore the hearts of those who have suffered this unnecessary lost.
All of us here at SJD MFCL are reaching out in prayer for those lost in the tragedy in Connecticut. We’re praying for the families that were affected by this unfortunate shooting.
God, we thank You that You are greater than what has happened on 12/14/2012. We thank You for restoration of families and for healing their heartache. Show them love during this Christmas season. In Jesus Name Amen.
Our prayers will continue to be with and for those who lost their loved ones.
