On April 28th five years ago, music fans bid a tearful farewell to one of the most influential Christian rock legends of the last three decades. Five Midwestern boys, whose collective title had become “a household name in Christian music,” according to The 700 Club. This band had summed up their nearly 20-year adventure with a sunset gig on the blissful shores of Honolulu, before parting ways back on the American mainland. With a finale as grand as that, one would think that a band like this has no intention of resurfacing in the public eye anytime soon, let alone making *cough* …new music.
…or do they?
Rumors started to fly when said band made a one-time appearance on the stage of Australia’s own Easterfest in 2009. Then, three years later, a Facebook page popped up, swarming with hints. Fans began to get restless, but their suspicions were confirmed when this video popped up on Youtube:
