Looking Behind The Song: Anthem Of The Lonely – Nine Lashes

The brand new Christian Rock band, Nine Lashes, has signed with Tooth & Nail Records! Their world premier releases today, “World We View“. The bands first single, “Anthem Of The Lonely” is being featured in their music video below.

The song reflects the strong commitment that should follow true repentance. It requires the tearing out of your heart of stone. When you accept Jesus Christ into your life, you’re allowing Him to remove your callous heart and fill the void with His unconditional love. With this acceptance comes an even greater battle.

The good fight of faith compels us to proclaim the truth, to stand out in the crowd, and to even be willing to die for His Name. The enemy finds what we believe in to be a threat and wants to remove us from the battlefield. We are to stand strong and see the Salvation of our God.

This band is boldly declaring their “anthem” that they would die for what they believe in. They display this quote at the end of their music video: “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you, your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.”

Ezekiel 36:26 “A new heart will I give you and a new spirit will I put within you, and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.” ~AMP~

Isaiah 58:11 “The LORD will guide you continually, giving you water when you are dry and restoring your strength. You will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring.” ~NLT~
