Looking Behind The Song: Never Let You Go – Manafest

We ran into some incredible news. Manafest is back! Here in this song, “Never Let You Go,” Manafest introduces his new album, “Fighter” available, April 10, 2012.

As you may know, Manafest is the stage name for Canadian recording artist, Chris Greenwood. He is known for his unique rap/hip hop/rock fusion style. “Never Let You Go,” is a powerful song, bringing us what could be Manafest’s new sound? When we cannot see clearly, we need to, “Remember Who holds tomorrow.” His love for us lights the paths He wants us to take. When the ground around us is shaking, God assures us that we have the strength to get through. The chorus of the song is depicted as God singing over us. Manafest is showing us that our Lord wants us to hold on to Him during our difficult times:

“I’ll be the Peace in the waiting,
Your strength when you’re broken on the floor.
Hold on it is all worth fighting for,
Cause I’ll never let you go.”

This song will lift you up in the times when you feel like you are all alone. When you surrender and look to God, He will never let you go.

Isaiah 41:10-13 “10 Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with My righteous right hand. 11 Be sure that all who are enraged against you will be ashamed and disgraced; those who contend with you will become as nothing and will perish. 12 You will look for those who contend with you, but you will not find them. Those who war against you will become absolutely nothing. 13 For I, Yahweh your God, hold your right hand and say to you: Do not fear, I will help you.”HCSB
