Looking Behind The Song: Vow – Kutless (Happy New Year)

                                             HAPPY NEW YEAR

We wanted to start the New Year with a song that links to all of us during this time of year. Kutless has been around for many years. Those who are big fans have all their albums from the beginning to the present. Today we will be looking into “Vow” as we celebrate New Years Day.

This song is perfect for the New Years. As another year has come and gone, New Year resolutions begin. This song is stating that in this upcoming New Year, we can make a vow to repent, turn to God and shifting our focus upon Him.

This year, let’s all take our vows seriously. Who here this year is going to vow to spend more time with God? Who will turn their focus on Him? When things are not looking up, who is going to look to God for their answers? Make this year a year to grow stronger in your relationship with God.

Lamentation 3:22-23 “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”

Ps 40:3 “He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.”

Ps 98:1 “Sing to the Lord a new song, for He has done marvelous things…”

1 Peter 1:3 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”

2 Peter 3:13 “But in keeping with His promise, we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness.”

2 Cor 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”

Rev 21:5 “Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.”

Let’s make this year, God’s Year!
